Success Stories
Daisy May

May 24,2018 This is Daisy May recently bailed from a kill pen by a kind soul and we were contacted to intervene and give her a place to land.
Update May 2019
Daisy was foster by Coy Brook Farm for the summer and
we are proud to say she has been adopted by a
wonderful family for their little boy.
Harvey

Teddy aka Theodore Roosevelt
Our recent success stories occured this summer (2019}....
Harvey, our sweet, white donkey, found a forever home and at the same time a new sibling, another white donkey. It was definitely meant to be.
Teddy found his forever home with his foster mom, Robin, and now resides at Maushop Equestrian Center. He is a fan favorite at the barn and gets lots of attention from everyone who goes there.
Both Harvey and Teddy are well loved and cared for and hope their friends at Mills River Rescue find their forever homes as well.

Hallie
Hallie had previously been at auction with her mom until a kind man saved them both, in time she found herself here, at Mills River Rescue. Hallie had been here the longest out of everyone.
We worked with her and worked with her until she at last found her forever home in December, 2018 with a loving family,
Leo

Millie

Millie came to us with 3 other ponies all in need of a home. Their previous owner had back issues, and taking care of so many ponies was getting difficult for him. As much as it broke his heart he did the right thing and gave the ponies to us before he could not take care of them.
After spending a little time at the rescue, Millie was scooped up by a loving family and now has a forever home!
