Thank You
We, at Mills River Rescue, would like to sincerely thank everyone who has donated and volunteered.
This has been a labor of love and is always a work in progress, your help and support is always needed, and appreciated, to continue making this all possible.
Please continue to share our site on social media and put the word out to the community .
We'd also like to give special thanks to Karen Tosh who made this all possible for us.
Also special thanks to our various angel foster homes like Coy Brook Farm,
Maushop Equestrian Center, Alyssa and others who fosters some of the ponies for us.
We appreciate everyone's support!
In 2019 we were honored to be the recipient of 2 grants:
Our first grant was in August from the "Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Foundation Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation. They awarded us a $1000 grant to be used for general support in honor of Cat Wilson and all of her hard work for the NGX Memorial Foundation of Cape Cod.
Cat joined us when we saved Harvey and Grace. She had never been around a donkey but fell in love with Grace and her sad story. She would come in the afternoons and spend quality one on one time with Grace she gained her trust and fell in love. Cat is also a local morning radio personality known as "That Girl in the Morning" on Cape Country 104, owner/executive producer/Host at The Cheap seats on Sunday nights from 6-8 p.m. on 101.9 fm WCIB (Cool 102), a writer at Capecod.com as well as helping with so many community events. Thank You Cat Wilson for all you do for your hometown community.
Our 2nd grand was for the amount of $1500 at the recommendation of The Joyce Family Fund, a donor-advised fund through the Fidelity Charitable Donor-Advised Fund. We thank the Joyce family for their ongoing support. Also thank you Riley for volunteering at the rescue, you are a wonderful, intelligent young lady with a bright future ahead of you.
